a central Astronist belief entailing the transformative process by which all animate beings residing within The Cosmos become reunited with it, either by the natural process of the decomposition of the body (naturalist view), or by the union of one’s soul with The Cosmos upon death (transtellationist view). Contrasted with astrosis (corporeal cosmosis).
